All Breath Sanctuary therapy sessions, workshops, and programmes are conducted fully dressed, while participants are standing, seated or lying on a yoga mat, or comfortably seated in a chair.
A carefully curated playlist plays throughout the session to enhance the experience, aiding in relaxation, motivation, and the release of stagnant energy.
During conscious breathing sessions, breathers may choose to wear an eye mask and a blanket can be particularly useful to help maintain body temperature as energies within the body become unblocked and freed. They serve not only as a source of warmth but also as a comforting layer during relaxation and deep breathing practices. Additionally, acupressure techniques and appropriate touch are offered during in-person sessions for those individuals who are open to receiving intuitive and considerate touch.
This approach is often complemented by the integration of sound, movement, and affirmations to create a holistic experience that promotes relaxation and well-being.
Breathing for Self-Empowerment
Breathwork encompasses various practices where the conscious control of breathing affects the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual states.
The Breath Sanctuary techniques offered include:

Helping children navigate through their feelings, improving their nights sleep, helping them gain focus, confidence and calm while providing them with life long tools to live a happy healthy and fulfilling life.

The Practice
Physical benefits of changing our breathing patterns
Utilising a diverse range of tools and various methods can significantly encourage smooth and effective breathing throughout the entire respiratory system, promoting overall health and well-being
I create a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages individuals to release old, dysfunctional breathing habits that may have formed during early childhood. This safe space promotes awareness and healing, allowing for the transformation of breath patterns that no longer serve a positive purpose. Dysfunctional breathing, characterised as a disorder of breathing patterns, can lead to issues such as breathlessness, frequent breath holding, rapid breathing, or paradoxical breathing. These patterns can contribute to feelings of unhealthiness, anxiety, stress, and can trap individuals in negative thought cycles.
With appropriate guidance and retraining, these behaviors can be effectively modified over time. By introducing new and healthier breathing habits, individuals can establish practices that facilitate a deeper connection to their inner selves, foster a sense of openness, and promote the flow of a naturally rhythmic breath.
