The Breath Sanctuary
The Practice
All Deep Release Process sessions, Breath Journeys, courses, and programmes at The Breath Sanctuary are held fully clothed in a safe, supportive environment.
Sessions may take place seated, standing, or lying comfortably on a therapy bed or yoga mat, depending on the nature of the practice and the needs of the individual.
During conscious breathing journeys, some participants may choose to wear an eye mask or rest beneath a blanket to support warmth, comfort, relaxation, and deeper nervous system settling throughout the session.
Where appropriate, gentle acupressure points and supportive, consent-led touch may be offered during in-person sessions for those who feel comfortable receiving it.
Sessions may also incorporate elements such as sound, movement, grounding practices, and other supportive holistic approaches to help create a deeply restorative and regulating experience.
Physical benefits of changing our breathing patterns
Utilising a range of supportive breath and nervous system practices can help encourage more balanced and functional breathing patterns, supporting overall wellbeing, emotional regulation, and deeper connection within the body.
The Breath Sanctuary creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals are invited to slow down, reconnect, and begin releasing patterns of stress, overwhelm, and protective habits that may have developed over many years.
Dysfunctional or habitual stress breathing can contribute to symptoms such as breathlessness, chest tightness, frequent sighing, shallow breathing, anxiety, overwhelm, and difficulty fully relaxing. Over time, these patterns may affect both physical and emotional wellbeing.
Through awareness, breath retraining, nervous system support, and guided practices, individuals can begin restoring healthier breathing habits, greater inner calm, and a more natural relationship with the breath and body.
The Breath Sanctuary supports people in creating the conditions for lasting change — helping them feel more grounded, connected, and able to move through life with greater ease and resilience.
